“For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,” Colossians 1:19 NLT
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We know that our body is the temple of God (1 Cor 6:19-20). The Holy Spirit lives in us. I want us to question ourselves today: How do you think your temple (your body) is? Is it just good from the outside and an absolute mess on the inside? Or is it broken from the inside out? Or is it a place God loves to dwell in?
We try to clean up the mess and tidy the house when someone special is arriving. But what do you think about a person who can raise a lifeless body back to life? The one who convicted 3,000 men in one single sermon and changed lives forever (Acts 2:41), the one whose presence marks your eternity! He is the Holy Spirit. Our God is an ALL-CONSUMING FIRE!
Let’s not just respect Him, but REVER Him. CAST out any evil from your mind, heart, or body. You are anointed, you are delivered, you are marked, sealed, and bought with a price for Him and Him alone. Don’t DINE with selfish desires, unforgiveness, or pride of life. RUN from sexual sin (1 Cor 6:18), it affects the temple, a direct hit to its walls to break it down! (1 Cor 6:19-20)
Do not QUENCH the Holy Spirit. He is ABSOLUTELY quenched with the deliberate sins of ours which we do by our CARELESS and FEARLESS attitude towards God. Let’s turn back and be bold to say no to evil desires. Let’s not justify, because deep down we know that we CHOSE sin over God. Confession is better than self-justification!
Take time to be ALONE with Him, sing songs alone with Him, pray all kinds of prayer ALONE with Him. If you DON’T KNOW Him personally, He will personally DEPART from you! (Matthew 7:21-23)
Let’s dust the seats, throw away the filth, put back HIS name plate on your hearts, and ENJOY His presence. May your heart be a place where HE loves to dwell. You won’t regret a SINGLE SECOND in His presence. Your heart is the residence of the Holy Spirit.
Blessings.
